The piling team made excellent progress this week with almost 60% of the rammed aggregate piles installed. Next week the piling rig will continue to move towards Baycourt Theatre.
RAPS piling continues well this week with the team hitting the 50% mark! The contractors moved the piling equipment to the western end of the site this week and next week will start at the Hamilton Street side before moving operations south towards Baycourt.
After a pause in activities last week, progress has continued with almost 50% of the RAPs installed. Next week the team aims to complete the lower (eastern) section of the site.
Piling work progressed well this week for a short week with 96 further aggregate piles installed. Next week the team aims to complete the eastern part of the site before moving the equipment to the top of the site nearer to Durham Street.
Progress on site slowed this week due to some restricted work hours that were put in place to give some respite for neighbours. The team are just over one third of the way through the ground improvements for CWEM.
Four weeks into the RAPs piling programme and our contractors are continuing to make excellent progress. By the end of the day the area under the future exhibition building will be completed! The team will be working on more of the perimeter piles next week as they continue east toward Willow Street.
